So we're doing the thing? We're doing the thing! [Crossposted to dear_mun]

Ok, so, I've been thinking it through, and I have a couple suggestions.

[He fishes in his pockets and pulls out a list.]

First off - nowhere super scary. Pabu's little heart doesn't deserve that, and you know he's coming eventually. Two, I...think I'm ok with nerfing? Unless it turns out it's something you do to livestock in which case that's a no.

Next up - apparently it's the future and somehow there's not, like, a million people doing Team Avatar anymore - but if you could find some familiar faces, I'd appreciate it, bud.

Lastly - no more Nuktuk movers, please - the fans are getting a bit much and that costume was cold.

[He checks the list one last time, nods, then crunches it back into a pocket, hands going to his hips.]

Ok, let's do this.

Player seriously considering a second game for him (Karteria)

Oh no.

We did the monster thing already, you said you're burnt out on it!

[But, plant monster.]

No buts! I refuse. Bad enough you're doing what you're doing where I'm at already. Losing an arm sucks, even after getting a replacement cybernetic one!

About the Dogma re-release

Yeah I'm pumped for my movie going up again! I know you are too. Crazy that it has been 25 years already! Maybe it'll bring out some of the other peeps too. I'd like to see Bartleby again.

fantasy oc.

Do you not think I remember the smell of leather in my father's workshop? Am I so old, in your eyes, that you think I cannot recall such details anymore? I remember, girl. I remember, each and every time I have to pass through the costume-makers' halls and some tanner is doing his job well in there. I remember, each year when a new pair of sandals is sent to me from the Council. In this place, the new year is always marked by the scent of newly oiled leather. I remember.

Yet, what I remember ever more clearly, is whose priestess I am. Shantij is far removed from a leather-world, for starlight is scent-less and at night, we go barefoot. Our sandals are left at the end of the bed. The goddess' scent is the fresh air that wafts through the open window when you sleep. It may go unnoticed, but you would surely perish without it.

So it is with many things pertaining to the gods. They are unseen essentials. They shape us, whether we want them to or not. In the end, we might as well hold our breaths forever, before we can cast off their yoke.

Do you not breathe, when you sleep, player? I assure you, if you do, how much more deeply do you not breathe during your waking hours?

And, then, isn't that the case for all of us.

On being let loose

Well, that's that, then. Don't suppose you've got any clue what to actually do with me?

[A moment of silence, then he nods.]

Jove help me - not a clue, eh? Heh, well, something will turn up. That's the thing about life, it always does. Keeps happening quite a lot, come think of it.

So let's try and find something low-stakes to start with, hmm? Something that doesn't end up with me sticking my head in the lion's jaws for a change. A nice game of dice with some posca or mead. Better, if I'm lucky at the game, heh.

[A slight pause.]

Just...nothing with me havin' to hold a sword for while, eh? Think I've had about enough of that for now.

Ancient canon with an ancient antihero

Well, here we are then.

[He sighs, sitting down, reaching into his pack to pull out an apple and a knife. Quietly, he starts to cut away a slice.]

'Course, that assumes you have any idea what you're doing. No offense, nice to be out and walking under the sun, see. Just been under enough stupid officers and stepped in enough cack to be a bit cautious, me.

[A grin, and he crunches down on a slice.]

If you do know what you're doing, then it's going to be a time of it, and no mistake. Speaking of which: drink. Could do with some. Talking all friendly is better over a mug, eh? Maybe the company of a nice woman after. Or the opposite - either way 'round works. Bet on some dice, leastways if I'm likely to win thanks to your, uh, efforts on my behalf...?

After that, well. It's a busy old life. Let's get about it.
